Just a few hours from the hustle and bustle of the big city (Phoenix or Tucson), the White Mountains attract visitors longing to escape the heat of the desert and the hurried pace that goes along with life in the big city. Our open spaces, clean mountain air and slower-paced lifestyle are just the tonic to soothe frazzled nerves.
The Pinetop-Lakeside area surrounding our mountain resort offers many outdoor activities such as hiking, mountain biking, horseback riding, chair lift rides, tennis, fishing and kayaking just to name a few. The area also boasts several major golf courses. Winter is a beautiful and fun time as well, offering down hill and cross country skiing, snowshoeing, sleigh rides, and sledding. There are many shopping options with fun boutiques, gift shops, home furnishing and of course, the many unique antique shops throughout town (ask for an Antique Guide).

The Roost Bed & Breakfast is within a few short miles of Hon-Dah Casino if you wish to try your luck gambling. They also have a modern, comfortable showroom offering comedy; musical entertainment and dancing. Several dining options are also available.
Sunrise park Resort is a scenic 40 minute drive away. This alpine ski area provides some of the best skiing in all of Arizona.
Another of Mother Nature's awesome creations is just south of our mountain B&B on US Highway 60. The Salt River Canyon is referred to by some locals as "the mini Grand Canyon". Enjoy the beautiful scenic drive or add some adventure and try white water rafting!
